The Team

Over 65 years of purchasing and selling the world’s finest motor cars.

Adrian Hamilton

Adrian Hamilton took the reins of the business following his father’s retirement in 1975. Adrian was no stranger to racing, having competed in touring cars and also the iconic GT40.

His passion for cars and determination to make people’s dreams come true has steered the company to purchase and sell some of the world’s finest classic road and competition cars.

Over the years Adrian has been responsible for the sale of some spectacular cars: nine Ferrari 250 GTOs, 20 Ford GT40s, seven Porsche 917s, numerous Jaguar C and D Types, and many more.

Nick Maton

From an early age Nick was introduced to motor racing through his fathers passion for classic and competition cars. He spent most of his childhood years tinkering with cars and racing karts to a national and international level.

After qualifying as an engineer in 1999, Nick started his career working for a prestige car manufacturer as a technician, subsequently he became a sales executive which established his desire and natural flair for sales and customer relations.

After taking a year out competing in the 2004/2005 round the world Global Challenge yacht race, on his return he decided to integrate his passion for historic and competition cars with his ability in sales, and this is when he joined Duncan Hamilton. Since joining, Nick has made his mark by completing many significant sales; most recently creating the world-renowned Rofgo Collection, alongside Adrian Hamilton.

Over the past year he has reignited his love for racing by competing in 2017 Historic championship.

Jack Tetley

After six years working at Goodwood, creating the entry lists for the Festival of Speed, Revival and Members’ Meeting, Jack joined Duncan Hamilton & Co, shifting his focus onto the sale and acquisition of significant historic race cars. He proudly remains on the Creative Committee at Goodwood.

While not hunting out race cars across the globe, Jack enjoys racing his 650bhp ex-Gerry Marshall Thundersaloon, and will compete at his first Goodwood Revival this year in a ROFGO Racing-run Lola T70 Spyder.

Simon Drabble

After a 30 year career in Banking, Simon decided to follow his passion and joined Duncan Hamilton. He has owned and raced classic cars since 1980’s and is a regular at the Goodwood Revival. His racing highlights include competing in several British Grand Prix historic support races in a Lotus Eleven and 4th overall in a Merlyn Mk6 in the demanding Spa 6 Hour.

Although Jaguars remain a first love, his taste in classic cars is eclectic and currently shares, with his son, a Sabre Six in Pre 63 GT races and a Sunbeam Rapier in 50’s saloons. Predictably his road car classic is a wonderfully original Jaguar XK120!

Laura Monkman

Prior to joining Duncan Hamilton in 2016, Laura worked with Jaguar Land Rover on their events team, working mainly with Special Vehicle Operations and Classics. She has worked on International events including Le Mans, Pebble Beach, Retromobile, Essen and Top Marques as well as the Jaguar Classic Challenge around many of the UK racing circuits. A keen interest in motor racing and classics brought her to Duncan Hamilton. She now manages our office and runs our track days, events and PR. When she isn’t surrounded by cars, she is usually out competing on one of her horses
