One of the three famous “TRW” cars built by the factory for the official “Works” Rally Team in 1957. After a disappointing performance in the 1957 Tulip Rally, the car excelled in the famous and ultimately more important Liege-Rome-Liege Rally where Bernards Consten and Pichon achieved 3rd Overall. This was the best result ever by a Works Triumph TR. As a car that was active in international competition from 1957, it will be eligible and no doubt a very welcome entrant for Mille Miglia and other premium events including Goodwood Revival, RAC Pre-63 GT and Le Mans Classic.
Our client bought the car from marque expert John Sykes, and the file includes both the previous ownership chain and photographs of the restoration. Invoices on file show recent engine development work by TR Enterprises. The car is immaculate and comes with current FIVA and new FIA HTP Papers ready to be used in road rally or circuit racing. This is an important works competition car with a well documented and rich history.
