A very familiar face at the Goodwood Revival and a veteran of the historic racing scene since the 1970s.
TBC 993 is one of the best known racing Magnettes, and is one of very few surviving examples of the model, and having been a successful race car for nearly 50 years, has been maintained with great care.
TBC 993 would subsequently pass into the hands of the hugely competitive Bryant family racing equipe, where a small fortune was spent on developing the car into the ultimate Magnette, complete with lightweight parts, full race MGB engine (as per the Goodwood and HRDC rules), close ratio race gearbox, disc brakes at the front, stiff anti-roll bar, up-rated rear axle and half-shafts, and even re-trimming the car in beautiful Ferrari leather!
Olly and Grahame Bryant would go onto use the car regularly at the Goodwood Revival in the headline St Mary's Trophy, sharing with F1 driver Nelson Piquet Jr, and Le Mans and BTCC veteran David Leslie. Since being purchased by the current owner in 2017, the car has run at the Revival with multiple Le Mans-winning Aston Martin works driver, Darren Turner.
Most recently, the car has benefited from a full engine and gearbox rebuilt, as well as a respray. Fresh and ready to race, this very rare car is a fantastic route into the historic HRDC racing scene as well the magical Goodwood Revival.
